Continuing Education Credits (CPE's)
On-line CPE's are a convenient way to update your professional knowledge
and skills AND fulfill your Professional Development Portfolio (PDP)
requirements. All you need is a computer with internet access. You
can earn CPS's that fit your professional development needs in the
privacy of your own home or office AND learn at your own pace.
The Dietetics Academy at
Iowa State University is accredited and approved by the Commission
on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a provider of Continuing Professional
Education (CPE) programs for Registered Dietitians.
The Dietetics Academy at Iowa State University is accredited and approved
by the State of Iowa Department of Public Health of Professional Licensure
as a provider of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs for
Registered and Iowa Licensed Dietitians.
The Academy delivers a variety of CPE programs on a continual basis.
These programs may be accessed via the internet and may be used as
CPE for the Professional Development Portfolio (PDP) process. Program
topics provide a range of CPE units depending on the topic breadth
and depth.
Successful completion of the CPE program includes:
- Studying and understanding the online program materials.
- Completion of the online post-test (Some programs will require
additional "homework" in addition to the post-test).
- Score of >70% on the online post-test
- E-mail from you to the Dietetics Academy faculty indicating completion
of the program.
- Certificate of completion for Professional Development Portfolio
(PDP) files mailed to you upon verification of an online quiz score
of >70%.
